Essay Assessment Dos & Don'ts

Assalamualaikum everyone!

Here are the Dos & Donts that you need to know when sitting for the Essay assessment:

1. You need to bring at least ONE (1) copy of physical reference OR archived physical reference (for instance, originally published physical articles that are compiled on Google Scholar) into the hall/classroom. If you are using a textbook or journal as reference, a copy of the page that you refer to is sufficient, no need to photocopy the whole book!
   
   
2. You may write down the citations of your reference materials beforehand on the copy of the said material (not on another foolscap paper). 
   
   
3. DO NOT bring any other notes, papers, slides or essay drafts into the hall/classroom. Your materials will be checked by your lecturer when you enter the hall/classroom. 
   
   
4. Switch off your phones, tablets and laptops during the essay writing session.
   
   
5. If any student violates these rules, the lecturer has the right to NOT accept the student’s essay and give zero marks for the essay assessment.
